Weekend Getaway

Over the weekend, we decided to head south to Blanding to go 4-wheelin' with the Cosby's. It was so much fun!! This is where I grew up, so it's fun to go back "home" once in a while. Dennis, Cathy, Ked & Ashley always have some fun trails to ride. Here we are getting ready to go.

We saw a lot of bucks and doe's

The view from the top of Blue Mountain overlooking the valley is so beautiful. At this vantage point you are looking at 4 states.. It's "more" breath taking when you are right there, than in this picture.

There's a forced "cheeze".....

Stopping to eat lunch in a nice shady spot...

There was a quakie tree that had fallen over one of the gate passages, so here we had to hold back one of the large branches to allow us to get thru.

Almost thru the end of the ride, you have to stop at Johnson's Creek and take a break just to enjoy the scenery and let the kidlets play in the creek for a minute...


All the older farts have to lay down and take their afternoon nap.

Once we got home and showered, Cathy fixed us the BEST Navajo Taco's and we ate it out on her deck.

Dennis dressed himself after his shower....

Coming back home, we stopped at Wilson Arch in Moab to take some pictures. We drive by this every trip we take to Blanding, but have never stopped.

Can't forget Indo....This is his kind of heat!!!

We had a really good time!!
